Somalia, officially the Somali Meritocratic Republic, is a nation located on the eastern edge of the EMC world map, stretching across a large coastal region often referred to as the Horn of EMC. It borders Ethiopia to the west, Djibouti to the north, Tanzania to the southwest, and holds long coastline territories along the Gulf of Aden and the Indian Ocean. Somalia is widely known for being one of the most interesting places on EMC, changing ownership various times over its history. Currently in its third iteration, it was previously owned by Malian Oligarch, FG Ayumu who used it to trap ruthlessly. Garnering a tough trapper reputation for Somalia which would take years to repair. It was then handed off too 8set, deal being brokered by Arctic_Fox where he would make it his own safehouse while he took a retreat from the server after his Cascadian conflict. Later, Real (now 77dervish) would go on to create the town of Kismayo after being exiled from Indochina, after further collaboration with the Somali nation 77dervish inherited the nation from 8set for free beginning a new and best chapter for the Somalia nation on EMC, quickly after 77dervish integrated Me1i90 as a dual leader of the nation due to his generousity to the young Kismayo town.

Somalia has a population of over 160 residents, with Kismayo serving as the capital and largest city. Most residents identify culturally as Somali, and Somali is the primary cultural language, with English used for cross-server communication. The overwhelming majority of Somali residents adhere culturally to Sunni Islam and share deep hatred for the expansionist Ethiopians to the west, a conflict that stretches back multiple iterations of the server since Classic.
