Nostra:Ice Boat Racing Foundation

Overview

The EarthMC Ice Boat Racing Foundation (EIBRF) is a racing company on EarthMC Terra Nostra. EIBRF consists of eight races, the winner being the ice boat driver with the most points. For each race, the driver who finishes the track first gains 5 points, the 2nd driver 3 points and the 3rd driver two. Every additional driver who finishes the race is rewarded one point, however, the last three drivers are docked 3 points instead.

Rewards

Drivers are incentivized to play with a variety of rewards:

• High scoring drivers are given huge gold payouts at the end of each season
• Champions are given in-game trophies in the form of heads, custom roles in the discord and are entered into the Hall of Fame, which honors the most exceptional players
• Smaller, instant payouts are given throughout the season upon crossing the finish line

Rules

Discord

In order to ensure fair play, solve disputes, and maintain order, the Foundation has both discord and track rules. For the discord there are the following rules:

• All members of the Foundation must be treated with respect
• Discussions must be kept within their appropriate channels on the discord. Unauthorized advertisement is prohibited
• Impersonation of staff, sponsors or drivers is strictly prohibited
• Do not spam or publicly argue with staff over race decisions, make an appeal instead.

Viewers

Additionally, there are the following race rules for viewers during in-game events:

• All viewers must remain within the stands. Entering the track without authorization will lead to a temporary ban from the track
• Do not spawn pets, drop excessive items or otherwise cause lag during the event
• Do not distract the drivers during the race
• Only bet through authorized channels. Scam betting is strictly prohibited

Players

In order to maintain fair play, the drivers also have rules they must adhere to:

• Only vanilla clients or approved mods are allowed. Using modifications to improve performance in races will lead to a permanent ban from the Foundation.
• Only standard vanilla oak or spruce boats are allowed during races.
• Ramming other players off the track or intentionally blocking opponents will result in a time penalty for the offending racer
• Missing a checkpoint or cutting a corner on the track is not allowed. Doing this will result in a 5 second track penalty, or going back to the location before the corner cutting.
• Drivers registered for a spot during a race must be at the designated location 10 minutes before warm-ups begin. Unexcused tardiness or complete no-shows will result in the loss of priority for future events.

How to sponsor the Foundation

Sponsors are needed to keep the Foundation running. There are multiple different types of sponsors:

• Team Sponsors: Fund specific drivers in exchange for team naming rights and a share of the funded driver's winnings

In order to become a Sponsor, you must join the discord and open a ticket in the #sponsor-portal channel. After opening a channel, provide your nation/town details, your budget and your desired ad or team structure. Soon, the server owner or staff will review your application as a sponsor.
