I'm not sure if the intention is for this nation to mirror the real-world location of Nova Scotia, but just as an FYI: the image in the article above is actually Newfoundland. Nova Scotia is far to the southwest, and is attached to the mainland of Canada. There is about 100km of open ocean between those two provinces IRL.
