Introduction
Due to the strong internal opposition of the Liberal Party against the governor PRONA, President Heinz was forced to accept a series of democratic measures and the increasingly strong restoration of the democratic regime in the country and the dictatorial period came to an end, beginning the period known as Federal Brazil (it lasted in practice for around four weeks). Heinz and his supporters managed to calm the population and the opposition by turning their full attention to the campaign against Hindustan that increased nationalist sentiment, however the campaign was marked as the biggest military disaster in the nation's history and the regime lost any popular base, support of mayors and then it started to crumble.
TwisterSelvagem do PL was elected chancellor with 80% of the Senate supporting him and quickly articulated further reforms to weaken Heinz who was still seen as a dictator. Senator Aettos founded the Imperial_Brazil nation and proclaimed himself his imperial majesty, began to harass Brazilian mayors and the glimpse of someone other than Heinz at the head of the nation became ever closer. The chancellor quickly forged a fragile national alliance to maintain territorial integrity and prevent an open conflict between the two nations, he came under criticism by the PRONA radicals and Heinz used the opportunity to sabotage Twister, sabotaging his electoral base in Porto Alegre and nationalizing assets of the mayor of Porto Alegre. Soon afterwards he forged false evidence to try to overthrow Twister, but the main towns protested and the PL proposed the creation of a new nation.
The War
Every town in the northeast and south of Brazil had left Heinz and now there were three countries in the territory of Brazil. As soon as the Confederation of Ecuador was formed, Imperial_Brazil declared war on Brazil but there were no conflicts or battles for a week.Meanwhile, MareshallZorn returned to the chanceller post and became responsible for the brazilian army, secured loans and armed soldiers while signing a defense pact with Romania against the Byzantine Empire, while the Confederation of Ecuador was organizing itself and resolving internal conflicts, economically aligning itself with the Byzantine Empire through the influence of the mayor of Pergamon and the former president of Monte Pascoal, a byzantine military man.
Zorn took the initiative when attempting a raid against Rio de Janeiro while the leader was away and still distracted, killed three civilians until the Confederacy organized itself and started a battle against the integralist forces. Finally Twister and Aettos defeated Zorn and Heinz and there Brazil officially started the civil war involving nations around the conflict.
Most of the images and reports of the war have been lost, but veterans on all three sides have gathered some information and established a narrative after the wiki was officially deleted. The most important battles of the conflict are known as: The Battle of the Bridge, Battle of the Three Kings, Sack of Curitiba and Slaughter of Goiás.
The Battle of The Bridge
Template:Battle/War Template Aettos, hoping for an easy victory, organizes a regular force to attack the concentration of troops that was forming in Curitiba and summons Confederation soldiers to fight at his command. Around 6 well-equipped imperial soldiers, two Confederate officers and two more soldiers. Upon noticing the movement international observers begin to surround Curitiba and even the former emperor decides to observe the outcome. The integralist/federal troops, led by NareshallZorn, had three more well-armed soldiers and waited for enemy troops at the gates of his capital, already fortified. Aettos leads the Coalition troops and ensures control of the road that connected Londrina and Curitiba.
Federal troops, contrary to what the coalition commander imagined, were well organized and refused to leave the chunks, attacking and isolating enemy soldiers and gaining space by avoiding a complete siege of the capital. For some reason, Twister's soldiers moved away from the vanguard and limited themselves to attacking with bows from the countless trees around the town. The coalition was gradually losing ground on the bridge and retreating, until the Federal troops started an aggressive advance towards the vanguard and claiming more territory by the bridge, chaos took over the troops from this moment on.
Daniel_Marcola, oligarch of the Confederacy, advanced with a slave and avoided a further advance of the federal troops but ended up ambushed by MareshallZorn and burned alive. It felt like savagery, but it was just preceding the darkest hour of the battle. Coalition soldiers watched in terror as the second most voted candidate in the confederation's elections was burned to death and shouted for his items on the stone structure the Federation was building on the bridge. Meanwhile, the Romanian leader heat1804 and another European soldier surreptitiously passed under the bridge in the hope of ambushing the coalition forces. TwisterSelvagem was in the rear and quickly realized what was happening. He caught the Romanians off guard, but he was facing one of the best warriors in Europe and was appalled by the skill of only two soldiers. He managed to reinforce two more imperial soldiers, but those warriors were unstoppable and he immediately met with his soldiers in the field, realizing what was to come, barely escaped with his life. Coalition forces have collapsed to a smaller force. That was the Federation's first field victory and seriously damaged the Coalition army.
Disagreements in the Coalition
Despite the common enemy, the Confederation and Imperial_Brazil never had the same goals. Their leaders, despite having openly cordial relationships, never fully trusted each other the leader of the Confederation despised what the monarchy of Imperial Brazil represented and the two nations showed great political differences. While one was a republic with universal suffrage, another was a semi-absolute monarchy that forever promised a future constitution.
Two years after the war, the objectives of each side are already public and co-confirmed by representatives of each side. Aettos' goal was to defeat dictator Heinz and proclaim his country "the real Brazil" and the "real empire" (since his monarchy had no legitimacy, support from classic players or important Brazilians), while Twister's goal was to prolong the war for as long as possible and weaken the two sides to be able to beat Federal Brazil or Imperial Brazil when the civil war is over. The two sides constantly harassed citizens of the ally trying to bring them to their side and eventually instigated internal disagreements in the allied nation.
Consequences
After this battle the course of the war changed. Imperial_Brazil lost the initiative and was no longer in a position to launch a new large-scale offensive and the Confederation was not prepared to enter into direct confrontation. Federal Brazil, on the other hand, did not know how to take advantage of this great victory and did not take the initiative. After this battle there were only minor skirmishes between the two sides and Federal troops were able to keep their remaining territory loyal. After this battle the biggest event was Sack de Curitiba.
It can be said that all sides were defeated and that there was no winner. Federal Brazil failed to reunify Brazil and destroy Aettos, while Imperial_Brazil failed to secure itself as "the real Brazil" and winner, the Confederation failed to prolong the war as long as possible and maint ain balance, with Porto Alegre leaving the nation for disagree with "war crimes" and disagreements with the other faction. A ceasefire was agreed between the belligerent parties after a few weeks.
The urbs antiqua of São Paulo changed sides after the Confederation was strengthened and Imperial began to see them as a new regional rival. A cold war broke out between the former allies.
