Greco-Bactrian Kingdom

Contents

History

The Greco-Bactrian Kingdom was founded in December of 2020 by Lach. Originally it was intended to function as a province of the GRE(Greater Roman Empire) but the nation was unable to join due to unknown reasons. Greco-Bactria existed in modern day central Asia in the regions of Bactria, Chorasmia, Transoxiana and the Indus river valley although it did have towns outside of this area. At its height it controlled a large swath of central Asia stretching from the Indus valley to modern day Turkmenistan in the west and Kazakhstan in the north. The nation eventually retracted due to inactivity and was then given to niqhtlight who let the nation become inactive and lost most of the nations towns. The nation was then sold to Fijiloopins with the nation bieng disbanded and incorporated into Persia. The Capitol (Bactra) was renamed Greco-Bactra and is still currently in Persia as of 9/21/2021.

Government

Greco-Bactria was an absolute monarchy with nobility (usually town mayors) acting as advisors. Lach was the king for much of the history with prominent nobles bieng Aparanoidbw and _Fir3bot_. The list of kings goes Lach(founder), niqhtlight then Fijiloopins who disbanded the nation and entered it into Persia.

Military

The military was small with the only pvpers bieng Lach and _Fir3bot_. Greco-Bactria participated in a war against the turkish invasion of central asia where the turks formed Seljuk empire on Persian land. During the conflict the nations of Persia, Greco-Bactria, and Greater Armenia were able to push back the turkic forces with their nation falling apart and collapsing when most of them were banned for hacking.

Buildings

There were a number of temples in Bactra along with a cathedral, bathhouse, castle, and palace for the king. In nullpointer there are a number of redstone machines.

Notable People

This is a required field to detail important members of the town historically or currently, so it's easier to tell which people are in which area and to get a better idea of the region. This can be organized in a list, for example:

  • Lach - First king who also ruled at the greatest extent of the kingdom
  • Aparanoidbw - Active player who was friends with and advised Lach and is very talented with redstone machines
  • _Fir3bot - Active player and friend of Lach who helped him grow the nation and fight outside threats
  • Fijiloopins - Knew Lach and bought the nation where he then deleted it and incorporated it into Persia

National Subdivisions

The nation was divided into Satrapies (Provinces) Aria, Chorasmia, Massagetae, Sogdia, Arachosia, and Gandhara.

National Politics

Greco-Bactria was a sparsely populated nation which was ruled over as an absolute monarchy with active players(Nobles) acting as advisors to the king. The government took a hands off approach and towns were allowed to do as they pleased as long as it did not hurt the state or players within.
