Haida is connected by a series of highway networks, known as the Haida Highway System.

Haida is connected by a series of highway networks, known as the Haida Highway System. Each highway is numbered based off of when it was built. So Haida Highway 1 was built first, Haida Highway 2 was built 2nd, etc. There is also a short underground iceway connecting Haida Gwaii with the mainland.

The biggest and most important highway to Haida is Haida Highway 1, also known as the Trans Haida Highway. The Trans Haida Highway officially began construction in late August of 2020 and has been completed. The highway starts in Masset, using the already existing Haida Highway 1 that went from Masset to the South Point Docks. At this stage in the highway, you must use a boat to get across the Hectate Strait from Haida Gwaii to the mainland.
