Construction was begun by Cheeseknife on April 9, 2019. Early building efforts were hampered due to the constant theft of the white concrete blocks of the ship's waterline, as well as other decorative blocks on the ship's superstructure. Cheeseknife was not able to claim the land of the town at this stage, as he was still searching for a successor to his old town of [[Varna]].

Finally, on April 24th, Gremyashchy was first founded. However, another technical problem arose when about half of the ship could not be claimed due to its proximity to the coastal town of [[Vangash]]. Thankfully, moderator :Syn: very helpfully responded and came up with the novel solution of sailing the ship (who am I kidding, it was world edit) slightly to the north to prevent it from interfering with Vangash's claims, and even refunded wasted gold from the town's initial creation. For this reason, :Syn: was awarded the Order of Ushakov, 1st class for indispensable service to the Navy, and is always welcome on board the Gremyashchy. :Syn:'s medal ~~will soon be put~~ on display in the ship's ~~Visitor Centre.~~
