The People's Commissariat for Sportly Activities, officially the People's Commissariat for Sportly Activities of the Baja Soviet Republic, abbreviated PCfSA, was an intended People's Commissariat intended to oversee the Baja Bears. Its head, BetaPlain, was the founder of the organization. The commissariat was never technically founded because the Baja Soviet Republic never came into existence.
Origins
The idea to create People's Commissariats in the Baja Soviet Republic existed early in planning. BetaPlain had known of the People's Commissariats system present in the Soviet Union. BetaPlain had wished to implement various People's Commissariats to oversee state activities.
BetaPlain had created the People's Commissariat while creating the Baja Bears sports team. BetaPlain needed a way to organize the Baja Bears within the state, to make it clear that the Baja Bears were going to be one of the many organizations run by the Baja Soviet Republic.
Additionally, BetaPlain toyed with the idea of having a team manager as the head of the People's Commissariat, however, during the planning period BetaPlain personally oversaw development.
The People's Commissariat got it's own channel in the Baja Soviet Republic discord server. A new category was created called, "People's Commissariats."
