Polar Future Party
The Polar Future Party (PFP) was formed in November of 2023 by Lil_Ore following the unification of the former Arctic Empire and Antarctic Union into a single united entity. The party was formed mainly to represent the new Arctic minority in government and also serves to unify the two regions into a single people with shared values. The Polar Future Party also serves to address the looming overclaim crisis which will impact parts of the republic that are overextended.
Political positions
Around the time of the founding of the party the newly formed Polar Republic was experiencing large growth as people around the globe and mainly those in the polar regions were joining the new democracy. The Polar Future party seeks to establish a future in which the Polar Republic is a strong promoter of democracy around the globe, and is a capable and robust contender on the world stage.
Foreign Policy
When the Polar Future Party was being formed, the Polar Republic was fighting an all-out war against Spanish imperialism that would cost the republic greatly, with many military casualties and equipment losses. The eventual victory came at a large cost and would shape the Polar Future Party's approach to solidifying its stance on the world stage. The PFP believes that offensive foreign policy is sometimes required in a world that is largely hostile to democracies and believes that having a large and well trained military force is necessary to protect the interests of its people and its allies. The PFP argues that the Republic has a duty to protect and support democracies across the globe.
Economics
The PFP mainly advocates for a libertarian approach to the economy and believes that a low amount of taxes should be collected for necessary programs, with a large portion going to the military and infrastructure projects such as automatic farms to stimulate the economy, as well as events as a way for all the citizens of the Republic to come together.
