KayP7 is a Cascadian citizen, journalist, and politician, best known for his role in Cascadian politics and for founding The Cascadian Independent, a major news organization within the Republic of Cascadia.

Early EMC Career

KayP7 originally joined EarthMC on May 18th, 2023. He was a citizen of Mali, residing in the town of The Goonies. Finding limited opportunities and declining engagement, he left the town shortly after in search of a more vibrant economic environment.

Several months later, on an unspecified date, he joined the independent Republic of Kuwait. During his time there, he proposed a megatall structure intended to commemorate the nation's prosperity and stability. This period came to an abrupt and devastating end when Kuwait was unexpectedly sold and annexed by the neighboring Kingdom of Edesse, which itself was later annexed by a successor state known as 2.1NotinPersia. Following these events, KayP7's tower was destroyed, and all of his resources were lost.

With few alternatives, KayP7 relocated to the neighboring nation of Nubia. While living in Nubia, he frequently traveled between cities and regions, including the Himalayas, Lucknow, Cameroon, and Donk City. During this time, he worked within a weapons manufacturer and an armor factory for the nation shop, where he later described the labor conditions as very poor. Seeing this, KayP7 chose to leave Nubia.

Shortly thereafter, he took an extended break from EMC to focus on his studies. However, during this hiatus, he ultimately 42'd, abandoning his town and fully departing from the server.

Return to EMC and Cascadia

After months of absence, KayP7 returned to EMC on June 8th, 2025. Within days, on June 10th, 2025, he was recruited into the Republic of Cascadia. He settled in the city of Vancouver, where he met 4Whatok and 4Floppa, two very prominent political figures.

Days later, on June 12th, 2025, KayP7 founded The Cascadian Independent (TCI), a national news organization focused on political transparency, administrative accountability, and opinion journalism. The news organization hosted its first-ever Presidential Debate on June 13th, 2025, which significantly boosted its national recognition.

The Cascadian Independent

The Cascadian Independent is credited with playing a pivotal role in shaping Cascadian press freedom. Following a series of controversies surrounding alleged government secrecy, corruption, and intelligence overreach, TCI released a collection of documents and commentary known as The Setrus Files.

The release prompted significant backlash from government officials, including acts of censorship carried out by the Director of Intelligence Raptormm4. In response, KayP7 began writing the first clauses of a constitutional amendment aimed at protecting journalists and news organizations from government control.

On October 7th, KayP7 introduced An Amendment to the National Constitution establishing the Rights of the Free Press, which was later ratified as the 15th Amendment to the Constitution of Cascadia.

KayP7's Political Career

KayP7's political career rapidly developed alongside his journalistic work. He was elected as a Representative for the Metropolitan District, serving in the 38th, 39th, and 40th Legislatures of Cascadia.

During the 40th Legislature, he served as the Speaker of the House, a position he held until being unseated in the December 2025 general election.

He also served as the Public Advocate of Cascadia, beginning a two-month term in September 2025. He was re-elected in November 2025, but resigned shortly thereafter due to his candidacy for the Speakership.

Constitutional Amendments

In addition to the 15th Amendment, KayP7 jointly proposed another major constitutional reform during the 40th Legislature. It was titled "An Amendment to the National Constitution of Cascadia to define and limit administrative authority, ensure accountability, and protect citizen rights while retaining necessary moderation authority."

The public referendum passed with 103 YES votes and 33 NO votes, marking it as the highest raw YES vote total in Cascadian referendum history. It was ratified as

the 17th Amendment to the National Constitution of Cascadia.

Legacy and Influence

KayP7's dual role as a legislator and journalist reshaped public discourse, international diplomacy, strengthened constitutional protections, and expanded the role of the free press within Cascadia. As of late 2025, he announced his proposed Presidential campaign for January 2026.
