XStoicx replied that "of course there’s going to be consequences for your governments actions..." and that NWT viewed the settlement of the town as an act of aggression. Despite NWT's claims, there had been no previous contact between Adu and the Cascadian government. XStoicx then revoked the NAP between the 2 nations, and gave Cascadia 24 hours to remove the town from their claimed territory, or else action would be taken. This ultimatum was notably not approved by the Prime Minister RuffWoof, who attempted to calm tensions between the sides. At the same time, Adu had placed signs at the border of her town stating that it was her land and she would remain "...until the second coming of Jesus Christ. In other words, fuck off." Cascadian officials maintained throughout the beginning of the crisis that the town was not within NWT territory, and repeatedly stated that they had never even received a claim map from NWT to begin with.
