The Wasteland Crisis, also sometimes known as the Cascadia-NCR Affair, was a period of heightened tensions between the Republic of Cascadia and the short-lived New California Republic during April 2024.

Background
During 2023 and the early months of 2024, a simmering mistrust could be found between high-ranking officials in Cascadia and the neighboring North American Union. Amongst the most skeptical of Cascadians were Moxicodone, the Secretary of Interior during the Second Setrus Administration, while others, including Secretary of State Milgorn123, were generally more trusting of the NAU's intentions.
