Galati played a significant role in the formation of the early '''Romanian Union''' (which later developed into the Kingdom of Carpathia) by gathering other Romanian and Romanian-larping players together. Galati amongst many others such Brasov, Bucharest, Transylvania, Adjud, Tirgu Mures and Iasi was one of the founding towns of '''Carpathia'''.

The town has focused itself onto building impressive builds from its beginning, the '''Galati Townhall''', resembling a Renaissance-style manor becomes the administrative headquarter and the social center of the town for the meanwhile.
