During the early stages of Australia, a party known as the "Australian Monarchists" would be formed by GabeTheInsomniac as a centrist alternative to the governing Socialist Republican Party led by smothyhoo, which was a supporter of the Australian Monarchy. However, following the Republic Referendum, the Australian Monarchists would rebrand into the United Australia Party, which would absorb the former Socialist Republican Party as well as several members from the Teal Party. This would lead to them securing 11 out of 24 seats, falling only two seats short of a Parliamentary majority. The United Australia Party, for the first month of its existence polled first place in primary votes, often by large margins. However, it should be noted the margin has been gradually reduced as new minor parties have emerged. | During the early stages of Australia, a party known as the "Australian Monarchists" would be formed by GabeTheInsomniac as a centrist alternative to the governing Socialist Republican Party led by smothyhoo, which was a supporter of the Australian Monarchy. On the 10th of May, giannakycc rebelled against the rest of Amazon due to internal disagreements over discord server ownership, leading to him banning all other members of Amazon, and transferring the original Amazon discord to DiamondMatty09, the Prime Minister of Brazil. He would attempt to rebrand the server into "Brazil Corp", before trying to negotiate with Amazon over a potential corporate merge between Amazon and Brazil Corp, which ultimately ended in failure when on May 12th, Panth_r and LakeFish19 cooperated to nuke the original Amazon discord server before DiamondMatty09 was able to, as he had been instructed by giannakycc to do so. This also resulted in a series of condemnations from each side, with Australia supporting Amazon by supplying holders. | On the 10th of May, giannakycc rebelled against the rest of Amazon due to internal disagreements over discord server ownership, leading to him banning all other members of Amazon, and transferring the original Amazon discord to DiamondMatty09, the Prime Minister of Brazil. On May 13th, Australia and Amazon jointly began "Operation Pugtopia" by placing six bridge towns into Brazil over a period of twenty four hours, extending their nation range into Brazil's heartland. Later, on May 14th, Amazon would join Australia as a colony, with Australia officially forming the "Commonwealth of Australia" meganation, beginning it's imperial expansion. During this period, Nubia and Australia together created a treaty to mediate peace, but however this original draft was rejected by the Brazilian Government, and the war continued. On May 27th, Australia began a renewed offensive into Brazil, placing seven new towns in Brazil, including two war towns on the capital of Rio De Janeiro. This would ultimately lead to Brazil and Australia signing a peace treaty on May 29th, in which Brazil would purchase back the war towns overtime, and kick the rogue DiamondMatty09 from their nation, ending the conflict in a decisive Australian victory. | On May 13th, Australia and Amazon jointly began "Operation Pugtopia" by placing six bridge towns into Brazil over a period of twenty four hours, extending their nation range into Brazil's heartland. The | The First Great Southern War was a conflict fought between Australia and Great Southern between June 4th and June 12th of 2026 in Southwest Australia. This brief conflict saw several PVP engagements, with three recorded battles, the First/Second Battles of Blackwood River, and the Battle of WA, with the First Battle of Blackwood River and Battle of WA being decisive Australian victories, and the Second Battle of Blackwood River being a draw between the two sides due to the appearance of foreign PVPers. The War officially came to an end on June 12th, with a peace treaty being signed between Australia and Great Southern.
===== The Second Great Southern War =====
The Second Great Southern War began on June 16th 2026, only four days after the ratification of the previous peace treaty. This was due to Great Southern leader Enki_Ptah griefing an Australian XP Farm in the town of WA, proven by CoreProtect logs faultily cropped by a moderator. Great Southern denied the grief, alleging that Australia had engaged in a False Flag Operation by changing their skins and then griefing their own XP farm. Australia gained support from allies such as Germany, while Great Southern gained support from foreign mercenaries from PRC, whom established a war town named Tuzi, although one of the two members would be banned for 1.1 on June 26th. The conflict has mostly been fought in the towns of Leonara, Blackwood River and SneakyTown, with PvP skirmishes occuring infrequently, often with foreign hunters and pvpers coming to the aid of either side. The war is still currently ongoing as of June 27th, 2026.
