Route Information

Highway 1 is an ice highway in New Zealand. It was first opened on 16th of August 2026 and connects the two capitals of New Zealand, NZ City and Napier, with each other

Route

Highway 1 branches from the North–South Main Line at Zealandia Junction located beneath the Pacific Ocean roughly a kilometre east of Christchurch, and then runs southbound for 832 metres before turning to the East. It continues thence for 2279 metres before reaching Horsely West Junction, where it joins the North–South Main Line again. For the remaining 478 metres to NZ City North station, the North–South Main Line and Highway 1 are colocated.

History

The ice road was built by iUpgrade and wediaklup.
