Template:ReligioncatholicThe Catholic Church is a religion on EarthMC based on the real Roman Catholic Church.
History
The beginnings of the church
The early days of Catholicism on EMC are unclear and poorly documented, there were several self-proclaimed Popes including DinoGod/CarloGambino, YellowVictini, Yaznayu and most notably Bluebox202 who owned a small Vatican_City with his own St. Peters Basilica and square.
Foundations.
The town of Vatican_City was founded North of Rome by the Cardinals.
Church goals and objectives.
Goal 1. The Holy Catholic Church in EMC is to replicate as closely as possible, the real life Catholic Church, providing an interesting Roleplay Experience to EMC players who wish to engage in it, or find a catholic community within the server.
Goal 2. The Holy Catholic Church is to help all players who find themselves in a state of mental despair, giving refuge to all those who undergo stress in the server, and aid those who feel bullied or unwanted. Provide help in a personal, human-human way, in what sometimes is seen as a cold and toxic community.
Goal 3. The Holy Catholic Church is to help new, exiled, town-less and food-less players in the EMC server, looking to provide in any way possible the needs of these people, educating the new players, and sheltering all those who need to.
Goal 4. The Holy Catholic Church is to inspire the rest of the players to adopt the values of helping one another, striving for peace, and enjoying each other’s company. To fight for peace in the international and regional political theaters and inspire justice and maturity among the EMC community.
Goal 5. The Holy Catholic Church in EMC is to remind the faithful catholic players of our faith, and that, even in virtual communities, we must abide by the teachings of Christ and his real church, that of love, to respect one another, and to not be ashamed to talk about our faith outside of the mass. It never did and it never intended to preach real canonical religious stances or laws however, it’s merely a reminder of the real thing.
Goal 6. To combat heresy, paganism, and immature cult like meme-religions. Providing an order and structure to the religious community of EMC.
Goal 7. To give refuge in these hard times of COVID-19.
