The nation itself was ~~created~~ on January ~~22nd~~ 2019 ~~under the name of Burgundy, then renamed to Germania then renamed once more back to Burgundy~~.

The nation itself was firstly the Kingdom of Italy that was founded on the 30th of January 2019. After Erwinning left the server Magredon had a talk with him and he returned to the server renaming the nation to Austria and moving it to Vienna.

On the ~~2nd of August, 2019,~~ a ~~player by the name of Dr_Biochemist attempted to gain power in Germany by buying Burgundy and establishing the Holy Roman Empire~~ with ~~its capital in Regensburg. This worked to a degree, as initially around a third of German towns were in on the plan, towns like this include Vienna, Potsdam,~~ and ~~Innsbruck. The mayor of Vienna, and future Kaiser of Austria, Francis_I decided to stay loyal~~ to the ~~Kaiser, but played double-spy on~~ the ~~German Empire's behalf. By doing this the opportunity arose for the capital~~ to ~~be temporarily moved~~ to Vienna. Franz took this opportunity to steal the nation on the 27th of August, 2019, and successfully put down the already withering Holy Roman Empire. It was then that the Austrian nation was declared as the nation was renamed the next day.

Austria was unofficialy founded at the same time with the formation of Vienna on the 13th of November 2019.After he got the nation of Italy from riri2010 Magredon talked with the leader of Salzburg, lolli10, and the town of Salzburg joined the nation. Magredon quickly called for the help of his friends from his previous nation of Turkey which he ruled for nearly a year and had good relations with most of the people there. With the arrival of Superaktif, Magicalyule and omerrr the towns of Linz,Innsbruck and Graz were quickly under the Austrian control. Around this time Erwinning called for his own friends from the old Italian Kingdom and Yayoh would go out to settle in Bregenz.
