On June 16th, 2024 [[_Vails]] and [[IsabelleIzzy]] founded The Second ~~Michoacan~~ Republic as a breakaway from [[The Republic of Texas]] as "a direct result of the incompetent ruling of Texas by [[North Paso]] and The Rocky Administration."[https://docs.google.com/document/d/1o3wffFzHuUkkJ5HyDzv9lBPe8-ROb68DVheL6AeBtFo] The nation was bought from [[Sometexan]] and converted from [[New Mexico]] to ~~Michoacan~~.

While initially declaring no hostile intentions against Texas and taking a neutral stance on the rebels, the declaration did point to them as example of the incompetence. This upset leaders in Texas, particularly Paso. On June 25th, 2024 [[Cascadia]] declared war on Texas due to [[California (Aurora)]] joining Texas as a state, and ~~Michoacan~~ would support Cascadia, beginning official hostilities with Texas.
