In the early morning of July 23, Samisol alerted a GC of high-ranking Texans and allied leaders about acquiring admin-level access to the Cascadian discord server due to an error by Lovelyfurball, who had accidentally given him admin perms instead of a 'cesspool' role. A plan of action was quickly formulated in-call: first, channels deemed 'noteworthy' would be downloaded via Samisol's modified discord client and packaged into a .rar file for later review. Afterwards, the group disagreed on who would actually do the nuking- Samisol didn't want to do anything out of fear of getting his discord account terminated, so instead a another member of the group used their account named "jp.f" to do the brunt of the deletion and banning. The total 'active time' in the nuke was around 30min, and Cascadian response was delayed due to it being extremely early in the morning. Among the final changes was the name and icon of the server changed to "Total Texan Victory" (<-- 8set's note; I forget what it was actually changed to, if you can find this out and make it accurate it would be appreciated).

Publicly, Cascadia attempted to portray a sense of resilience and being unshaken, but the true reaction was much different. Chats leaked from the OFN showed a much more frantic and scattered reaction from many high-ranking members. Texas used the mistake of Lovelyfurball to frame the attack as an intentional betrayal, which gained mixed reactions. Texas made a victory announcement, whereas Cascadia later made some sort of recovery announcement.
