The Federation of Appalachia is a country located inland on the eastern half of the continent of North America. Its capital is Coal Fields, home to three-quarters of the country's resident population.

It was automatically admitted as a constituent self-governing territory of the Canadian meganation after it joined Quebec on August 20, 2026. Following the complete merger of Quebec into Canada, its status is pending negotiations.

History

Appalachia was founded on July 24, 2026 by rinderdragon0823 and ichikura1010, two Japanese-language players.

Appalachia and North America signed an alliance treaty on August 1, 2026. The alliance was dissolved on August 25 following allegations of aggression towards Appalachia from members of North America.

Appalachia became a member nation of Quebec on August 20, 2026, following a vote by its people, and by virtue became a part of the Canadian meganation. Quebec was unilaterally dissolved by its emperor on September 8, 2026, and merged into Canada in-game. Following the dissolution, the residents of member nations within Quebec were initially made full Canadian citizens, but the status of Appalachia is currently being negotiated.

Government

Appalachia has yet to hold an election for its national government, nor has there been a push to do so. At the last Canadian federal election, it could vote for and run candidates for members of Parliament in the Quebec electoral district.
