The Caspian States, formerly known as Caucasia is a nation with its capital at Alania and admits towns with the region around there.

Founding and Caucasia History

The nation of Caucasia was founded when Alania voted to leave Persia after Persia had internal problems. It was founded on December 3rd of 2017 and after a few glitches with name (caucasus, Caucasus) it was finally named Caucasia. It had some early expansion, on December 9th, Caucasia became then 10th largest nation on the server, then it shrank back to the 11th largest nation. Caucasia made an attempt to unify the Caucasus, but struggled, eventually gaining Hattusa and on January 27th Abkhazia, breifly unifying the Caucasus, before Abkhazia left.

Rebuilding

Caucasia underwent major changes as Alania, the primary (and for a while only) town, fell from 69 people to 27. Along with limits on numbers of outposts this severely limited Alania and this has led to Caucasia acting as an Alanian Colonial Empire. However it regains a purpose when both Ottomans and Persia collapsed and both joined Caucasia.

Caspian States

With a new found purpose and larger lands, Caucasia renamed to Caspian States and underwent a transformation of the Government. (ongoing) Also it participated in War Day World War IV but before managing to conqueror much at all the server crashed.

Government (Currently being reformed)

Overview

The Caspian Government is headed by the Constitutional Sovereign and the First Minister. The First Minister must be a citizen of a town in the nation and is elected by popular vote all citizens. The Mayors or the Mayors representitive of every town are given a vote in the Parliament where they can vote of matters of foreign affairs and war. The Sovereign and the First Minister are responsible for the daily functioning of the Government.

Sovereign

The Current and only Sovereign is PolkadotBlueBear of Alania. The position of Sovereign may be passed on as the current Sovereign sees fit. The Sovereign cannot be a member of Parliament or the First Minister.

First Minister

The First Minister is elected every month by popular vote from all citizens of every town. He\She is responsible for the daily functioning of the Government along with the Sovereign but on matters of foreign affairs or war the Parliament has the final say.

Parliament

Final say in matters of foreign affairs, comprised of either the mayor of the mayors representitve of every town.

Military

Caucasia has a military but it lacks manpower and equipment. However is functioning even if it rarely sees combat. The military is composed of the 3 units: a Rapid Deployment Unit, that will quickly form to fight off attackers; the 1st Cossack Unit, that does local area defence; and an Artillery unit, that currently tests TNT cannot designs.

Economy

Caucasia allows the individual towns to decide on what type of economy they want to have. Caucasian citizens and companies do get the ablilty to put up trade signs at the ShopCaucasia shop at spawn as long as they ask first.
