About

The Transcontinental Ice rail (TCIR) is a ice rail route connecting continents on EMC in the overworld. With the length of approximately 20 kilometer, from Macau(Han) to Red_Moscow(Tzarist_Russia). It provide high speed and time saving transportation between Asia and Europe without teleportation. It’s the longest ice rail on the entire server, and now it’s even planning to go further to the US and Australia. The founder – evanhou said “You can enjoy the server more by taking the ice rail instead of teleporting.”

Construction

TCIR started its construction on 8.July.2019 (two days after evanhou first join the server) permitted by XxSlayerMCxX (the mayor of Changsha). 4 days into construction, the first section of the ice rail was completed on 11.July.2019 (The day before Qin disband), connecting Changsha and XianYang (1.2 kilometer).

After Qin disband, Han took over China, the Mongolia section and Macau section was permitted by Shia_Chan (Empress). Soon after, the Mongolia section was completed and the Macau section was put in hold due to Macau mayor’s opinion. The whole project was in hold for about three weeks in search of further permission and gathering materials. On 27.Aug.2019, the Trans-Siberia section was permitted by Manchuria Infrastructure Team (MIT)  and started its construction right away. Took only 2 days (30 hours of work) the 14 kilometers Trans-Siberia section was “temporary” done(only one lane of ice and cobblestone wall on one side, no pillars for climbing) on 28.Aug.2019, it’s total length was added up 18 kilometers and became the longest ice rail route on the entire server.

The construction later slow down due to the start of the school. The ice rail is heavily griefed by players which made the construction even more slower cuz fixing the griefs took up all of the time. This phenomenon wasn’t stopped until Slayer became the Mod and be able to roll back all the grief.

In December, the construction was nearly stopped due to evanhou’s college entrance exam. But thanks to Slayer, the pillars and another lane of the ice rail was able to keep on going for 3 kilometers. And the rest of the part is later been completed by evanhou. On 9.Feb.2020 The Transcontinental Ice Rail Asia-Eastern Europe Section was finally fully completed, and the whole server receive the following message “After nearly half year of hard work The Transcontinential Ice Rail Asia—Eastern Europe section (start from Changsha(Han) to Ponsacco(Tzarist_Russia))is finally complete. The trip is nearly 20km and takes less than 10mins GG!!!”

Now further planning is working in progress. Second stage of construction planned to reach Australia and the third stage of construction planned to reach the North America. Both section will be in progress at the same time.
