Cascadia national association football team
The Cascadia national association football team, also known as the Cascadia national soccer team, or the Evergreens, have represented Cascadia in international association football since 2023. It is controlled by the Confederation of Cascadian Association Football (COCAF), the governing body for soccer in Cascadia, which is affiliated with EMC football's governing body FIFA. The Evergreens compete in international matches and competitions on behalf of Cascadia.
Cascadia first contested a match in the 2023 World Cup, being knocked out in the group stage and losing every match. They were captained by cheeseballfluffy. Cascadia would suffer the same fate in the 2024 World Cup, captained by lovelyfurball. After not competing in 2025, the Evergreens will be returning for the 2026 World Cup with a greatly expanded roster consisting of many professional rosey football players, Cascadia's most popular sport and football code. Soccer has never been a prominent sport in Cascadia, although there have a handful of professional soccer players hailing from Cascadia; with Cascadian sporting being largely dominated by various forms of racing, and later by Cascadian football (rosey rules).
On March 29, 2026, Cascadia defeated the Canadian national team 24-0 on entirely own-goals from the other team, yet decided to graciously give up their spot in the semi-finals to Canada out of the goodness of their hearts. This was the first victory of the Evergreens in a football match. This shows how beautiful the souls of this team truly was, and they were internationally lauded for their sportsmanship and self-sacrifice.
