Cape Cod was founded in 2026 by MasterMatt.
Construction began with clearing the peninsula and establishing a road network before expanding into residential districts and public infrastructure. Early development focused heavily on terrain improvement, large scale landscaping, lighting, and creating an organized layout capable of supporting long term growth.
As additional residents joined, the pace of development accelerated significantly through coordinated community building efforts.

History
The original Cape Cod was founded by MasterMatt on the previous server. During its peak, the town was home to one of the largest shops on the server, serving as a major commercial destination for players across EarthMC.
Following a large overclaim campaign, Cape Cod eventually fell and was sold, bringing the town's original era to an end.
With the launch of the current server, Cape Cod returned under the leadership of its original founder. Development began immediately with the goal of rebuilding the town on an even greater scale while learning from the successes and shortcomings of its predecessor.
Development
Cape Cod is built around large collaborative projects rather than rapid expansion. The town has focused on detailed terraforming, organized infrastructure, residential districts, landscaping, lighting, and public spaces, with nearly every project completed through coordinated community effort.
The town continues to expand through contributions from both veteran and new residents, with construction occurring almost daily.
The Grand Shop
Cape Cod's signature project is the reconstruction of its legendary shop.
The original shop was one of the largest commercial buildings on the previous server before Cape Cod was lost. The new version is being designed from the ground up with the goal of once again becoming one of the premier shopping destinations on EarthMC.
The project represents the centerpiece of the town and reflects Cape Cod's long term ambition to compete on the world stage through architecture, commerce, and scale.
