Stavanger is a Dutch Norwegian town in Scandinavia famous for it's gorgeous buildings on the peninsula

History

First founded on the 2nd of May 2026, the town was created after a lucky 64g gold roll from a gold crate by TussalAlpaca169. Upon it's creation it officially joined the king of the Netherlands and only a few days after creation the first building was constructed, which was a small andesite shed that still stands to this day. The original penisula of Stavanger was mostly flattened in order to have more land for the construction of buildings which was further assisted by a small amount of land reclaiming. The motto of Stavanger was set to be 'The ghost of Sundom' which refences TussalAlpaca169's previous town in aurora of Sundom, which was a town in the Dutch Nordics know for its very tight and cosy building, small islands with forests, the largest solid gold cross on the server aswell as the famous Finland-Sweden bridge, and the motto points towards Stavanger achieving the greatness of the former town.

On the day Stavanger was founded Norwegians near instantly sent messages asking for Stavanger to join Norway. While it may be part of the Netherlands, it was seperated from the rest of the Netherlands aswell as being surrounded by Norwegian towns and this fact could've caused various tensions between the Netherlands and Norway. Trying to seek a peaceful plan before any tensions could even begin, TussalAlpaca169 got a deal signed between the leader of the Netherlands aswell as the king of Norway for Stavanger to be a condiminium between the two nations. This also allowed the town to connect the two nations together eventually leading to a NAP being signed.

Notable Sites

Stavanger is still known for it's various buildings built throughout it's history. Some notable buildings to see is: Stavanger Train Station, Tananger Church, Egeland Lighthouse, Royal Brando Tower, Royal Stavanger Museum and the Stavanger record store. Many other buildings can also be admired for their unique colours and shapes leading to every building in Stavanger looking different from eachover. Right next to the central dock is the main park which is not only the town spawn but also the largest park in Stavanger.

Stavanger Train Station located to the west of spawn, most importantly has an ice highway leader up north to the town of makfrost. The tunnel has been praised as being fully decorated, which makes it unique compared to other earthmc highways. The site orignally wansnt build for the tunnel to Makfrost. At first it was constructed to connect to the greater Norway highway network, unfortunatly this tunnel was fully dug out but never had any ice on it which meant that the project was left incomplete. After the greater Norway highway connection got scrapped there were plans to construct a stavanger only metro system connect the peninsula to surrounding islands. This was scrapped because most islands use bridges to connect themselves making it quicker then any metro could be.

Egeland Lighthouse is also a very interesting site. The building is constructed on an island that was connected to the main peninsula via bridge aswell as being expanded. The lighthouse is one of Stavangers tallest buildings with it standing 41.5 blocks tall. The building has been shown in many pictures and screenshots as its placed right inbetween two bays. The building has 7 floors with them getting thinner as the structure gets taller. The buidling has been described as a centrepiece of Stavanger becoming iconic to the city
