2026 Zurich Grand Prix
The 2026 Zurich Grand Prix was a Formula One Ice Boat Race which took place on the 20th of September 2026 and was the opening race of the 2026 Formula One World Championship as well as the first Formula One classified race on the Nostra server.
32Jeelow won the race from pole position after leading every lap of the race and setting the fastest lap, claiming his third grand slam. This was Jeelow's thirteenth race win and first win since the 2025 Spring Season and placed the Acceleron Formula One team on the top of the Championship Standings since qualifying at the 2025-26 Detroit Grand Prix. The podium was rounded out by Renault driver Talvi who took her third podium in Formula One along with Vertza Racing Team's ameberyl who finished in third.
Background
The Zurich Grand Prix was the first race at the circuit which was located to the South of the town of Zurich in Switzerland. Despite initially being framed as the "United Nations Grand Prix", the title was changed after track owner and Mayor of Zurich, Mjap8888, broke ties with the United Nations. The track uses a blue and white colour scheme, matching the flag of the Canton of Zurich.
The track features a part-exposed but mostly underground layout in a clockwise direction. The average lap time is around 48 seconds with a pit delta of roughly 10 seconds. The first corner is often taken as a wall tap with two additional possible wall taps during the rest of the lap as well as one blockstop.
The event and more specifically qualifying was delayed by a lack of available board members due to the loss of most officials at the end of the 2025-26 Season.
Entrants
Two-time World Champion, GabeTM, failed to appear for qualifying due to lack of availability, failing to show for his first race under Renault's new manager. His spot was filled by gbaguette, first reserve for the Renault racing team. Two-time race winner and 2025 Spring Season runner-up, F1rret, also missed the first race of the season after his computer broke on the first day of the race weekend. He was replaced by 2025-26 BMW main driver HockeyMan_31.
As well as being the first race for gbaguette, the 2026 Zurich Grand Prix was also Talvi's first race for the Renault racing team having left Acceleron at the end of the previous season to help bring the team under French management.
Both ameberyl and S3ggy also lined up for the first time with their new teams under Vertza Racing Team and Dinoco Oil respectively, S3ggy joined by Mkmango who made his first appearance in the newly rebranded Dinoco team.
The race was also the debut of Ferrari main driver 10Piksel as well as Tendonkeys who signed as a main for the Freddo team before the start of the 2026 Season.
Qualifying
Qualifying was contested between Friday September 19th and Sunday September 21st with each driver able to take a second-shot lap as long as this was committed to before 04:00 GMT on September 21st. Although the qualifying was open from the 19th of September, qualifying did not open until around 17:00 GMT on September 20th. Because of this, qualifying was extended by 4 hours allowing for Sunday qualifying.
Qualifying classification was ran using the SWRC client and each attempt was registered by a board member. All qualifiers were qualified by head of the FIA, Fedrer.
Qualifying Report
Vertza Racing Team's ameberyl was first to qualify at the Zurich Grand Prix, setting a 00:47.560. No other driver contested qualification for around an hour with Sepl just over half a second behind ameberyl with a 00:48.100, followed in succession by 10Piksel who was classified as qualifying with a 00:51.900. An immediate second shot saw the Ferrari driver almost a second quicker than his previous time for his first career qualifying, ending the session with a 00:50.950.
S3ggy provided the Dinoco team with a provisional front row around an hour and 20 minutes after ameberyl's qualifying run, setting a 00:47.860. This was beaten within 10 minutes with Murweh GP's pwnings setting a 00:47.350 and going to pole position, just over 2 tenths ahead of ameberyl.
Hill24671 returned to the championship with a sub 48 second run, setting a 00:47.910 and provisionally putting himself on the second row. Mkmango was unable to contest this, setting an exact 00:48.000. French driver Talvi went quickest of all at 19:34 GMT with a 00:47.290 in her first race at the Renault team, placing herself on provisional pole for the second time in her career.
In his first qualifying session in Formula 1, Tendonkeys set a 00:50.720, followed by VRT reserve HockeyMan_31 who set a 00:50.290 on his second shot, placing himself a position ahead of the Freddo driver. In his return to the track, 2023 runner up FatihAr surpassed HockeyMan_31 to take a provisional 8th with a 00:49.050. Tendonkeys then took his second shot however messed up a chicane pushing him into last position with a 00:52.060.
Murweh driver AkselV continued the fight for provisional 8th with a 00:48.120, nearly a second ahead of the Ferrari of FatihAr. Renault reserve for GabeTM, gbaguette, set a 00:49.400 to go to provisional 10th in his first qualifying session.
Kyle123456788 went for his first qualifying of his career, setting a 00:48.280 and provisional ninth. This was quickly overshadowed by 32Jeelow who set the fastest lap of qualifying at a 00:47.220, 7 hundreths ahead of former teammate Talvi in second. Qualifying was rounded out by StanTheManGaming who set a 00:47.970 in his first qualifying in Formula One to place himself in seventh followed by Vellange whose 00:50.010 rounded him out in fourteenth on the grid.

Race
The race was held at 20:00 GMT on Sunday 20th September 2026. The race ran over the course of 31 laps with 3 mandatory pit stops.
Due to issues setting up the circuit for racing, the race was delayed by approximately 20 minutes. The race was officiated by AnchoredToLife, Fedrer and PieTheHead. The event was streamed on Discord although not recorded. This was commentated by AnchoredToLife and F1rret.
Heavy lag issues on EarthMC saw Ticks Per Second as low as 1tps so the race was copied and moved to and run on the Boat Race World Championship (BRWC) server, using the built-in timing system instead of the regular SWRC equipment. The race start also used standard BRWC features instead of the conventional EMC grid.

Race Report
Pre-Race
Despite not qualifying, both 56Faxeo and Semicolon started the race from the back. Vellange also failed to attend despite not qualifying and Fauxbethvv's absence meant that the Scuderia Sicilia team failed to submit an entry to the Zurich Grand Prix.
Main Race
32Jeelow maintained his race lead from the start of the race with the top five positions not changing. Hill24671 had a bad start dropping him to last on the grid by turn 2. Gbaguette and Tendonkeys both had a great start, jumping to eighth and tenth respectively. Both Hill and Faxeo pitted at the end of the first lap. Mkmango pitted from sixth at the end of lap 2, followed by Hockeyman_31 and 10Piksel.
By lap 3, Jeelow had been extending his lead by around a second a lap. Talvi pitted at the end of lap 3 after being passed by Scottish driver ameberyl, exiting the pit in ninth. Seggy and Aksel committed to their first stop on lap 4, exiting the pit in eighth and twelth. Notably, Aksel was passed on pit exit by Faxeo indicating a provisional sixth for the British driver despite starting last. These stops promoted StanTheManGaming to fourth position on his debut grand prix.
Talvi committed to an early second stop on lap 6, exiting the pit behind her teammate, gbaguette, who was a pit down on her. Also to pit was Faxeo who went for his second of three mandatory pit stops as well as 10Piksel and FatihAr who double-stacked their stop in the Ferrari pit box and gbaguette who allowed Talvi past him.
Ameberyl went for her first pit stop at the start of lap 7 from second on track. Pwnings went for an overcut strategy, pitting the next lap and passing Ameberyl to take third place ahead of the Scot. Also to pit on lap 8 was Kyle123456788 for his first stop as well as Mkmango on his second stop, exiting the pit four seconds behind Talvi. Sepl pitted on lap 9 from fifth, exiting between Mkmango and Kyle.
On lap 10, ameberyl pitted from fourth, followed by Mkmango who committed to his final pit stop. StanTheMan, Pwnings and s3ggy all pitted on lap 11 from second, third and fourth with only Stan maintaining position. S3ggy exited into traffic prompting a back-to-back stop alongside AkselV.
Interteam battling between Faxeo and Sepl who was a pit down allowed 32Jeelow to lap Faxeo, lapping the grid up to eighth without pitting. A mistake from the Dane behind traffic allowed Faxeo to unlap himself.
Ameberyl's final pit stop on lap 15 saw her drop behind Mkmango in the lead of the drivers who had already pitted three times. Pwnings' final pit put her around 3 seconds behind the trio. Lap 17 saw Talvi pit from third for her final stop. This dropped her into fourth, roughly nine seconds ahead of the other three-stop drivers.
On lap 20, Jeelow went for his first pit stop, maintaining his lead over StanTheMan by 30 seconds. Faxeo also pitted after being stuck behind Tendonkeys and exiting the pit ahead of Pwnings who had been jumped by her teammate for eighth on track.
Both Stan and Sepl pitted for the second time on lap 22 with Stan dropped from second to fourth and Sepl sixth to tenth. HockeyMan_31 also did his second pit. On lap 24 both Stan and Jeelow pitted. Stan dropped to ninth with Jeelow still maintaining his lead. Lap 24 also saw ameberyl pass Mkmango at turn 2 to take fourth position on track. This action was repeated behind with Faxeo overtaking AkselV for sixth in the final sector of lap 25, followed by pwnings who overtook her Danish teammate for seventh.
A final pit for Hill24671 on the penultimate lap dropped him behind Faxeo and into sixth position. Jeelow also pitted for his final stop, maintaining his lead with a five second gap behind.
The final lap saw the fight for third contested between ameberyl, Mkmango and Faxeo separated by just a second and a half and behind the backmarker of Semicolon who had just completed his final pit stop after going back-to-back-to-back. A double bump for Mango and Faxeo in sector 3 allowed Faxeo to pass the Floridian driver to take fourth and challenge for third.
Jeelow finished the race in first, 8 seconds ahead of former teammate Talvi who took her second podium in a row following a first victory in the '25-26 Patagonian Grand Prix with Acceleron. Ameberyl brought home a first podium for the newly rebranded Vertza Racing Team, just over half a second ahead of 56Faxeo who started the race at the back of the grid. Mango came home to score 10 points for the Dinoco Oil team after finishing fifth. Behind, Murweh teammates pwnings and AkselV took double points in sixth and seventh with Hill24671 finishing the race eighth despite being in last position after turn 1. StanTheManGaming gave ETH Al-Quack their first points with a ninth followed by S3ggy who brought an extra point to the Dinoco Oil team.
