The Catacombs of the Aleutian Islands

The Catacombs of the Aleutian Islands is a set of mineshafts and caves spanning from the western world border to an unknown length. There are multiple entrances as most mineshafts in the area lead into the catacombs.

Nobody knows who made them or why. But the best theory is that someone dug down here with either a diamond pickaxe or TNT. That can explain why there is no gold in the catacombs.

Entrances and Exits

There are multiple ways to enter but the most common way is to go inside of an already dug mineshaft. There you have a good chance to get inside the catacombs.

It's much harder to escape the catacombs. The most common way is to just use /t spawn. But if you cannot do that you can the exit to one of the mineshafts located inside the catacombs. It's almost impossible to escape this way though.

Different types of the Catacombs

Mineshaft

The Mineshaft variant of the catacombs is the variant you most likely will start in. They consist of long 2x1 mineshafts that connect to the rest of the catacombs. These are also what you should use to escape the catacombs.
