Description
This video is from the first ever ski crossing of Nordaustlandet, one of the largest icecaps in Europe, in the Northeast part of Svalbard. Previously inaccessible due to heavy pack ice, this area is (unfortunately) now ice-free and assessable by boat in the summer months. The entire Island is a national park and special regulations and permits apply to do this trip. See www.ousland.com to book this magic adventure.
