The TORN Iceway is a new ice highway on Terra Aurora. It was created in the summer of 2023 with the goal of connecting the cities of Texas and Oklahoma, having a hub in Dallas hence the name TORN (Texas-Oklahoma Regional Network.)

History

Decline of Texas

Amid tensions and the addition of Overclaim, many cities aside from Dallas and Houston started to decrease in population, as frustrated mayors and senators left the nation and EMC. There was then less of a need for a Texas ice highway, as there wasn’t enough to connect beyond Dallas, Houston, and Oklahoma City.

Expansion across the Midwest

On August 16, 2023, RAWRYoutube proposed that the Mexican Hat ice road can connect to TORN, via Taos, enabling 2 new nations to connect to the system. This road, while not yet operational, is the first long-distance iceway out of Dallas.

Later, in October, it was decided that the system would expand northbound, to reach Washington, New Havana, and other Midwestern cities.
