Adelaide is a town that was founded by UnitiveBog10934 on January 30th 2024, it was founded due to boredom of the mayors old town (learmonth) and with the intent to break the border treaty Pilbara had with australia at the time, due to the treaty being too limiting on the nation of Pilbara. The town has become one of the largest towns in the nation of Pilbara, hosts multiple landmarks and is a hub for a lot of people.
History
Foundation
30/01/2024 | The town was founded on January 30th 2024 within the old australian ruins of Rio Tinto. Adelaide was initially formed to break the border agreement with australia due to Pilbara being severely limited to a small north western corner of australia during rapid expansion.
The Early Days
31/01/2024 to 07/04/2024 The early days of Adelaide was a relatively quick expansion in chunks, with it expanding 4 to 8 chunks everyday until it eventually claimed the entire ruin. During this time, recruitment began. The towns population went from 1 to 18 in just a week, and stayed around 18 to 25 for the early days. During this time, the ruins of the town underwent significant reform, this varied from taking down building, changing the design and transforming the town from a desert town to a moss oasis, These design choices stay prevalent in the town to this day. The Early Days Era of Adelaide ended with the final chunks of the old ruin being claimed, with the town expanding to 83 chunks. It was also connected to the Pilbara National highway during this time.
The Early Development Era
08/04/2024 to 03/09/2024 | During this time, Adelaide started to move away from repairing old ruins and onto building new things and expanding housing for residents. During this time, the town was connected to multiple highway routes (such as the wolftree road networks and later the SEAN highway purple line), the construction of a national park, the construction of a 4x4 chunk tower, the addition of a tree farm, a cherry tree footpath park, a mcdonalds and a tower that has never been completed. These factors combined allowed Adelaide to grow to what it has become today.
The First Recruitment Era
04/09/2024 to 04/11/2024 | Adelaide has had 2 large growth eras that have contributed to the nation of Pilbara. This was the first time Adelaide had ever achieved anything above 30 residents. After some time of effort, it peaked at 52 residents before eventually falling down to 18, and then 14, where it nearly fell into overclaim for the first time ever (but managed to not go into it)
Sharp Town Expansion period
05/11/2024 to 30/11/2024 | During this short, fleeting period of Adelaide's existence, it saw the single largest expansion in chunks, going from 212 chunks to 251. This short time stands out as it came during a time of stagnation, where the town saw limited growth.
Early Stagnation Era
01/12/2025 to 15/05/2025 | During this time, little was happening with the town. During this time, the town had only expanded by 5 chunks, never went above 5 residents and was near the cusp of being overclaimable many times. This came from lack of motivation to recruit, lack of much to do in the town when limited by overclaim and focusing more on the nation of Pilbara over the town. Only 1 build project was seen during this time, with the construction of the northern towers.
Period of Activity
16/05/2025 to 01/06/2025 | During this period, Adelaide had an unprecedented peak in residents, and went above 30 residents consistently for some time. Regardless of this new activity, the town didn't expand nor did it have any new things built in it during this time.
Late Stagnation Era
02/06/2025 to 01/09/2025 | Much like the early stagnation period, this period was also characterized by lack of expansion and growth. During this time, the town maintained a res count in the low 20's and didn't expand at all. This comes from many of the reasons of the early stagnation period. The only building happening in the town at this time was continued building on existing projects. This would soon come to and end however with pushing of recruitment within, the mayor of Adelaide becoming Prime Minister.
The Late Development Era
02/09/2025 to Present | This era started off with the redevelopment of unused land and the creation of a new district within the town to house residents. This district contains 8 semi-high rise buildings of different designs in the south of the town and is over 50% complete as of 13/12/2025. This new development era also saw the expansion of the towns trade into the nation spawn shop and the creation of a 1:1 starship fullstack which is around 10%+ complete as of 13/12/2025. This new growth also triggered a new wave of recruitment, boosting the town a regional juggernaut and aiding Pilbara in expansion.
The Second Recruitment Era
15/10/2025 to Present | This era began due to a significant boost in growth. The town went from 32 residents in mid october 2025 to a peak of 98 residents in the first half of November. Since that point, res count has been coming and as of 13/12/2025 that number is now at 61. But recruitment rates still remain higher than they have been for most of the towns history, thus why the The Second Recruitment Era continues to this present day (13/12/2025). The second recruitment era also forced a 24 chunk expansion of the town to house all the residents, the highest in nearly a year.
