Salish, also known as the Fighting Salish, the Chicago Fighting Salish, or Chicago Salish, known officially as the Salish Metropolitan Rosey Football Club of Chicago, is a professional Rosey club based in Chicago, with its origins in metropolitan Cascadia on Terra Aurora. They compete in the RFL, the top competition of Rosey. The team considers Wrigley Field in Chicago to be its home field, although on Terra Aurora it considered Moxicodone Memorial Sportspark in Victoria, known as the Moxidome, to be its home field.
The early origins of the Fighting Salish can be traced to the first rosey match ever played on Terra Aurora between the Grouse Football Club (today the Neverland Pirates) and the Astoria Football Club, the predecessor of the Fighting Salish. In the match, played on January 2, 2026, Astoria defeated Grouse 33–13. Upon further organization of the sport, the modern Salish club was incorporated. Throughout the first Rosey season (the only one on Terra Aurora), Salish was widely seen as one of the sport's most dominant teams, and had a strong following in the traditional Cascadian metropolis around the puget sound and Coastal Pacific Northwest, with a core fanbase in cities such as Seattle, Olympia, Vancouver, and Astoria. Upon the launch of Terra Nostra, the Salish were relocated to Chicago, but kept the historic Salish name. Despite being moved to the Midwest, Salish remains the club representing the Pacific Northwest in professional Rosey in addition to now serving the Chicago metropolitan area.
They are the only cooperatively owned club in the RFL, with it being owned directly by fans. Since January 2026, Setrus has been their player-manager. In March 2026, at the conclusion of the first RFL season, the Fighting Salish lost the first Ranger Cup grand final to the Loon Lake Redeyes (today known as the Swiss Redeyes) 47-45.
