Melilla
Melilla is a town located on the Moroccan/Algerian coast, near where Melilla, Spain is in real life, although the EMC version is more east than it's real life counterpart. It was re-established on Feb 17 2021 by player UnCry. It is currently owned by jlesh45 and is part of the Spain Realm.
History

Shifting Powers
On Mar 21 21, UnCry announced that he's leaving Melilla and is giving it to jlesh45, someone he met in Galiza and become decent friends with. This marked a shift in power which was probably... not a great decision in hindsight but worked out on in the end.
JLesh Era
jlesh45 is the current leader of Melilla, and although the start was rough, Melilla has never look better.
Griefing Incident
After his first day as mayor, jlesh45 came back to a griefed Melilla and all his stuff despawned. Devastated, jlesh45 quickly learned about permissions from Indestuk_11 and quickly rebuilt most of spawn. jlesh45 thought he might not be the best fit for the mayor role, but determined to make Melilla as great as possible, he stayed with Melilla.
Inactivity
Not too soon after acquiring the town, jlesh45 was inactive from the end of March until May. This will be totally fine...
Returned to Rebuild
On May 1 2021 jlesh45 returned to the server to a deserted town, with him being the only resident remaining, everyone abandoning after the mayor disappeared. This triggered a chain reaction of events that lead to the total reconstruction of Melilla. With the original building style in mind, and with the help of UnCry and new player Ishtyaq_ rebuilt most of Melilla and is still being worked on. As of May 5 80% of the town had been reterraformed, rebuilt and expanded upon.
