It currently comprises 10 cities, namely in mainland India Kallakurichi, Krishna, Gazne, Ongole and Rama Setu, in the Indian Sea Hippolhulhu, Male, Gan, Garcia Island and Huvadhoo and in Sri Lanka Tamil. It also formerly comprised Noè Arco. It is part of the Kingdom of Portugal as a Portuguese Viceroyalty
