Description

The Great Bamboo Forest of the Northeastern United States is a large collection of artificial bamboo forests created by anonymous users found across the Northeastern United States. Areas include parts of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, Virginia, and Maryland. All of the bamboo is contained within unoccupied wilderness.

History

On the morning of May 26, 2024, the bamboo forest first began construction west of Cape Cod. It quickly spread through the plains of Rhode Island and was labeled, "The Great Bamboo Forest of New England" by its anonymous creators. The bamboo was then taken to Maine, where it was planted and spread across a coastal plain. On May 27, 2024, the bamboo was spread to the Delmarva Peninsula and planted en masse throughout the expansive plain.
