Formation of the MegaMall: The first plan for the MegaMall was created on the 18th of November 2025 when Johnny5_1980 began gathering donations to fund a “large mall project”. The MegaMall was eventually founded on the 25th of November, 2025 when Johnny5_1980 decided to create the greatest mall EMC will ever see. Johnny5_1980 searched North America for hours before discovering a large deepslate tower. He decided that this would be the foundation of the MegaMall and began to dig a large, circular hole underneath the tower to serve as the main area the MegaMall would be located in. The MegaMall was originally a member of Cascadia until Johnny5_1980 received a message from TorontoForever offering to give 128g a week to the MegaMall in exchange for the MegaMall joining the nation of Toronto. This caused many people to get mad at Johnny5_1980 for leaving the nation of Cascadia, such as Mjap04, a councilor of Grouse (where Johnny5 used to live) and PixelMaster441, a councilor of Sandrift, the town that borders the MegaMall.

History of Johnny5_1980: Johnny5_1980 joined EMC sometime in November 2025. He originally joined Drakoria, a town in Antarctica. He then joined Sandrift, a town in Cascadia known for res farming. Disappointed with the small plot size and overcrowdedness he saw in these places, Johnny5_1980 Joined Marseilles for a while before he fell for a trap and was killed at Melon_Town. He then joined Melon_Town as a trapper, creating a large sand trap he would lure his victims into by advertising free items or underpriced trades in the chat. His first victim was the mayor of a town in Scandinavia known as Teutokio_Bay. This player, Teutok, died in the sand trap, before returning to give Johnny5_1980 a diamond with the words “F**k you” written on it. This diamond can be seen today, framed in the MegaMall. Johnny5_1980 began to feel remorseful for his actions in Melon_Town and joined Grouse under the promise that Mjap04 would give him a town to govern over. Johnny5_1980 began to think about starting the MegaMall at this time, and after not hearing anything from Mjap04, he began collecting donations from other players to fund his mall. The top donators were Ekko91, VelvetCadet and Me1 who each donated 64g to Johnny5_1980. The board where he wrote down the names of his donators can still be seen today at Johnny5_1980’s old house in Grouse. He eventually left Grouse and started his own town. While buying materials to build the MegaMall, Johnny5_1980 fell for the Donk-City trap and lost his maxed netherite armor and sword. While attempting to buy a new set of armor, Johnny5_1980 was approached by Hamza921. This would eventually turn out to be a trap and Johnny5_1980 lost 160g to Hamza921. Around this time, TorontoForever reached out to Johnny5_1980 and offered him 128g a week as long as he joins Toronto. Johnny5_1980 accepted this offer and the MegaMall remains in Toronto to this day.

Extra Facts: The MegaMall might be the largest single building on the server, with the building being roughly the size of the 200 resident town of Sandrift. Johnny5_1980 is not the players real account, as it was on his PC when he bought it. His name is not Johnny and he is not 45 years old. Johnny5_1980 is one of the best builders on EMC. Despite the tension between Mjap04 and Johnny5_1980, Johnny5_1980 has good bonds with the other members of Grouse and often visits. The MegaMall features the most activities of any town on EMC, with PVP arenas, Iceboat racing and much more. Johnny5_1980’s goal is to create a “large store which sells everything while having fair prices and activities for the people of EMC to enjoy.” The only people outlawed from the MegaMall are Hamza921 and MustangCricket, both people who have trapped him. The blue axolotls in the lobby of the MegaMall apartments are named Jessie and James, after the pair of antagonists from the popular anime series Pokémon. The original design for the MegaMall was intended to be “20 chunks, dug down to bedrock.” This was changed due to time constraints. The design surrounding the main tower of the MegaMall and serving as the roof for the shopping plaza was inspired by renaissance artwork including starry night by Leonardo Davinci. There are rumors of a hidden room in the MegaMall filled with gold for someone to find.

Currently, the MegaMall remains under construction and will open to guests in 2026.
