Quebec (officially the Empire of Quebec or the Quebecois Empire) is a multinational entity largely located in North America. A full member of the meganation of Canada, the Empire also contains four constituent member nations, also called "territories", which possess full self-government capabilities, containing about one third of the Empire's total population. Territories elect full voting members of the legislature, and territories contained within continental North America may also choose to send their own representatives to the Canadian parliament.

General information

A Francophone country, the Constitution of Quebec considers the French language to be "a central part of Quebecois identity." Business is largely conducted in English, and public government information is made available in French and English.

Under the Constitution of Quebec, citizens are granted freedom of expression, assembly, religion, as well as the right to vote and own property.

The Constitution established Quebec as a "democratic constitutional parliamentary nation."
