Aurora:Chernihiv

Chernihiv was and is a town northwest, of Chernihiv, where originally it was founded in June 18th of 2022, but after the first Chernihiv fell, a second one was made over a year after, on December 2 2023.

History of Chernihiv

Early Chernihiv (18/Jun/22 - 09/Sep/22)

The first Chernihiv, founded by doytnr (known then as DeutschNotReal), foundation was funded by doyt's and ss802's sum of 33g and an additional 31g donation from LazuliMC (then KeroRibbit), a resident of Kyiv at the time.

Originally due to a typo, the town was called Cherniv, but that was soon fixed after KeroRibbit payed an additional 32g to rename the town to its proper name, Chernihiv.

The town was incased in a thin and hastely-built stone wall in an attempt to prevent intruders, which she would see many due to her intense proximity to the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv. The town slowly expanded, about 2-3 chunks per day on average were introduced into Chernihiv. Many large building projects such as "The Clocktower", "Chernihiv Fortress", and several bridge over the Diesna River were constructed over this period, Chernihiv's rail connection to the rest of the Urkainian nation and to her own town-only iceroad network was completed by July, and at that rate, Chernihiv's prospertiy was inevitable, with the leader DeutschNotReal even attempting to make a nation called Polesia, which never sufficed for several issues.

For a while, Chernihiv was a part of Ukraine, until the very end of June where it had joined GODSBESTWARRIOR in his nation, White Ruthenia.

Founder's Vacancy (09/Sep/22 - Mar/23)

Due to the mayor's ban in 9/Sep/22, and with comayor supersonic802 inactive, the leadership of Chernihiv was held by one of the early members urmumisw_ until its inevitable sniping by MESHIKAIRI in March 2023.

Chernihiv decline (march 2023 -> 12 November 2023)

At the peak, Chernihiv had almost 40 residents and 105 chunks. Once MESHIKAIRI sniped the town he would slowly unclaim it for gold under the former founder's protest.

This first Chernihiv inevitable fell on 12/Nov/23, being fully unclaimed by MESHIKAIRI, a day after the founder had made a new town of Kaniv further down the river Dnieper.

New Chernihiv (02/Dec/23)

Over a year since the first founding of Chernihiv, zGenesis_ refounds the city in a very drastic landscape under Polesia, a growing nation that Kaniv (the town Chernihiv's original founder now hosted) had joined it for some time.
