Mauretania (Terra Nostra) is a major nation in North Africa, created by the community of the Longest Lasting Republic of Earth MC. Named after the ancient civilization rather than the modern day country, Mauretania was formed after an attempt to settle in Sicily failed.

History

17th-19th April 2026:

Terra Nostra Premium Release Day. Hoyenah Proser, Chief 0rremorre, Chief LavishNick, MylesRatliff, EchoOcelot, BuckedZulu, TheatreArt, Lucas2011, Nfish2021 and LoganCreeper50, while on vc, logged on to grind gold for a brand new nation. The initial plan was to settle in Sicily, but random spawn points delayed this plan as none of them spawned close to the Italian island. Through intense lag, two server resets and the town of Sicily being founded approx. 10 chunks away, Palermo was created by MylesRatliff. The team quickly joined the town and started mining for gold, grinding through the weekend for the 5120g necessary for a nation of their own. Proximity to Sicily (town) was unfortunate as the nearby gold ore quickly became scarce, and as a result, Sicily (town) created Sicily (nation) on the 18th April 2026.
