Luzon Empire (2018-2019)

The Luzon Empire was the earliest form of what is now the Philippines. Its capital city was Manila, and its leader was Shirazmates.

Formation

Shirazmates first joined the Earth MC beta on October 14, 2018. Twelve days later on October 26, Shirazmates created the 15th town on the server, Manila. On November 5, Shirazmates and two or more friends formed the Luzon Empire, one of the five oldest nations on Earth MC.

Information

Not much is known about Manila or the Luzon Empire due to a lack of documentation. The only video evidence of the Luzon Empire was on November 5, 2018 by Shirazmates. The video shows a tall wall and a port on the southern end of the town, two wooden houses and two wheat farms on the west, a stone brick building in the north, and flat grassland in the east where a shopping district was soon to be built, evident by the signs in the background of the video. The center of the town and nation was a 2x2 square of red, white, and light blue wool, surrounded by four glowstone blocks, a sea pickle, a pet wolf, and five parrots dancing to the music of a jukebox. Philippine flags were seen throughout much of the town, with eight small banners and one large wool flag being visible in the video.

Succession and Disbandment

Shirazmates handed over leadership of Manila to Skylordvoxaco in mid-2019, who would rule the Philippines (which the Luzon Empire renamed itself to) until he was banned on June 13, 2021, making OCurtaMemes the temporary leader of the Philippines. OCurtaMemes left the Philippines on July 2, 2021, and without him the Philippines disbanded from inactivity on July 25, marking the end of the 33 month old nation. Many of the old structures from Shirazmates' rule can still be found in good condition in the ruins of the fallen town today.
