Ivano-Voznesensk (Russian: Ивано-Вознесенск) i a city in the Far East, located on Wrangel Island. The city was founded on December 19, 2023 by Father Leontan as one of the centers of the Orthodox Mission of the Roman Catholic Church under the blessing of Patriarch _TNTBlake_.
The town is home to the northernmost and easternmost Christian church in the world — St. Nicholas Cathedral of the Ivano-Voznesensky Monastery.
History
Before the creation of the city of Ivano-Voznesensk on Wrangel Island, hermits lived on it. The existence of life on the island before the foundation of the monastery on it is evidenced by the presence of farms, mines and a bridge to the Chukchi Peninsula.
The city was founded after a large-scale pilgrimage of Father Leontan to Rome, after which he visited several Christian states. He was visited by the idea of creating a clean place where he could pray for the fate of mankind. On December 18, 2023, he reached the extreme northeastern point of the planet, where he founded the city of Ivano-Voznesensk and the Orthodox monastery of the same name on Wrangel Island on December 19, 2023. On the same day, he officially swore an oath to the Pope and the Roman Catholic Church. On December 20, he began the construction of the first temple on the island. With the help of Patriarch _TNTBlake_, St. Nicholas Cathedral was erected in two days, which became the northernmost and easternmost religious building on the server, as well as the highest Orthodox Church. On the same day, the relics of Saint Elgik, who is the patron saint of all Orthodox and Russian-speaking players, were delivered to the church.
