Diplomatic Issues

Japan-Korea war

Korea attempted to expand into the Manchurian region after unifying the Korean peninsula. Japan and Ming (China) had already advanced into that region, and territorial negotiations between Korea and Japan broke down after twists and turns. As tensions between the two nations increased, Korea took possession of Ishikawa and Chitose, towns in the Japanese archipelago, leading to the outbreak of war at 3 December 2023 01:19 (JST).

There were some skirmishes between the two nations, but the they signed a peace treaty on 16 December 2023.
