New Belfast is a town located in eastern Greenland. It was created by Gloogles121 on 17th July 2023. It is a member of the Arctic Empire
history
Pre-New Belfast
on the 16th of July 2023, Gloogles121 and DDecepti0n joined EarthMC. They originally joined Dublin as a town however quickly left after wanting to build their own town. On the 17th of July Potato_muncher, a friend of both, joined EarthMC and followed DDecepti0n and Gloogles121 with their desire of making their town. Initially, there was little progress, however, they eventually found an abandoned base in eastern Greenland and claimed it as a town on the same day.
Early progress
Within the first 24 hours of New Belfast's creation, a town hall was built. Alpharooo and memeode joined within this time frame. Hunters were very common and had caused members to lose over 30 gold worth of items, almost the entirety of New Belfast's net worth. However, gold was quickly regained due to mining.
Close Conflicts
On the 19th of July, a member of Vandreblock - a town very close to New Belfast, was killed while afk. Vandreblock initially accused New Belfast (in particular, the member Alpharooo) of killing the member. However, tensions eased once all New Belfast members showed screenshots of their statistics, showing they had killed no players. Eventually confirming that the member had been killed by a hunter.
After the close conflict, Vandreblock and New Belfast became allies, eventually building an ice railway between both towns
griefing
on the 27th of July, New Belfast and all towns near were severely griefed by an unknown player (suspected to be ssppeer). While all the damage was undone by admins, New Belfast feared of people griefing, leading to the idea of joining a nation
Arctic Nation
After the griefing, New Belfast joined the Arctic Nation.
