Bristol Bay (Central Yupik: Iilgayaq, Russian: Залив Бристольский) is the easternmost arm of the Bering Sea, and is home to Kuskokwim Bay, neighboring the Kuskokwim River and the Kuskokwim Mountains.
Bristol Bay is subject to ice throughout the year and is subject to snow when it rains. The ice in Bristol Bay is somewhat invasive in that it requires a form of lighting to prevent ice spawning, to the dismay of settlements that border the Bristol Bay.
History
The real-life bay is famous for its fishing and the land near the bay is mostly inhabited by Alaska Native Americans.
