Nostra:Hungarian separatist crisis

The Hungarian separatist crisis was a brief political disagreement in August of 2026 in the Hungarian region of the PLC. The conflict resulted in no major territorial changes although the Hungarian National council (Magyar Nemzeti Tanács) was formed.

Background

The town of Kassa was founded slightly north of the Hungarian region, by Kendevok. One day after the town was founded, on the 3rd of August, the mayor joined the Hungarian Discord server of EarthMC. He quickly raised concerns about the fact that Hungary was not independent, and the nation called Hungary had close to no Hungarian territory or population. Don_Peanut and Kisubigamer were online and in direct contact with the PLC and especially at the time.

First hours of the crisis

Kendevok openly criticized the PLC, which reached Milo_moo, the mayor of Budapest. The two started DM-ing each other, leading to an argument. Kendevok called for an independent Hungarian State, while Milo sided with the PLC and the support it gave to the region. The nation chat stayed active during this time, with most information being reported there. It seemed like everyone was ready for a revolution; Don_Peanut (the mayor of Balatonfalva) and Kisubi (The mayor of Saintsburg) made it clear, that they sided with the PLC. The other hungarians involved were Sokmak (the councillor of Balatonfalva), That1_manus (another high-ranking player in Balatonfalva), Syrezz (his affiliation was unknown; he did have connections in NZ) and Wolhfie (high-ranker and ex-mayor of Budapest).

Those who sided with the PLC were:

• Don_Peanut
• Kisubigamer
• Wolhfie

Those who were leaning towards independence but not outright supporting it:

• Sokmak
• That1_Manus

Those who were actively supporting separation:

• Kendevok
• Syrezz

At the end of day one, allegedly there were attacks against Kassa, although it is unknown if the PLC supported these or not. Kende and Syrezz stated that these attacks were sponsored by the PLC, while the nation denied this claim. According to Kende, Syrezz was promised funding to create the nation by NZ. Don was trying to reason with Kendevok, who created a private group on Discord consisting of himself, Don, Sokmak, Kisubi and Syrezz. The group was created to find a diplomatic solution to the problem. Milo also received word of this, and told Kendevok to stop harassing mayors. This allegation was later proven to be false, as all of the members later consented to being in the group. Wolhfie was also in contact with Kendevok during these events, although not much is known about their communications only that Wolhfie was being hostile towards Kende. So far, no political solution was found to the crisis.

Next days and consolidation

Negotiations after the initial crisis - August 4th

On the 4th of August, the group chat was officially named 'Magyar Nemzeti Tanács', or Hungarian National Council. Also on this date, Kende and That1_Manus made multiple expeditions towards Siberia. That1_Manus stated that in case the PLC attacks Kassa or Kendevok he will side with the separatists. Negotiations between Don_Peanut and That1_Manus were breaking down quickly. The only representative of the PLC in this conflict stated that it is better not to take action; the separatists will run themselves dry of gold anyways. Kassa's wealth at this time is estimated to be around 500-800 gold. But they could also receive thousands of gold from the NZ in case they go ahead. By the end of the day, Kassa joined the PLC after negotiations between Don_Peanut and the separatists succeeded.

Border conflict at Kecskemét - August 6th

Nf_miracle and Kn69ght were in Kecskemét (a part of the nation named Hungary), which lays fairly close to Balatonfalva, where around four people were discussing another matter; creating a fighting force against hunters and other threats in the region. Kn69ght was spotted spying on the city from a nearby treeline, prompting a pursuit which led back to Kecskemét. By this time, Nf_miracle seemingly disappeared or became invisible. The PLC was informed of the incident, and gave the greenlight on killing Kn69ght. This later caused confusion, as Kn69ght thought that the people from Balatonfalva went to Kecskemét explicitly to kill him, while they were simply trying to get him to join the PLC to achieve stability in the region. Of course, this misinterpretation caused these negotiations to break down. Milo_moo was also at the scene, invisible, ready to strike, which could've scared Kn69ght even more. The forces of the PLC withdrew around 10-15 minutes after arriving,

First meeting of the Hungarian National Council and establishment of the PLC Guard - August 6th

Early on the 6th of August, the objective became clear; a council meeting must be held to reach a conclusion to this problem and give autonomy to the hungarian region. It was held hours after the border conflict. The most important topics discussed were:

• Official language (this was decided to be hungarian)
• Towns recognized to be part of the hungarian community
• A national anthem (this was chosen to be this cover of Bella Ciao)
• The PLC Guard

The meeting was held in Balatonfalva, recorded in writing by Don_Peanut and there were no internal conflicts during the meeting. The PLC Guard was established by That1_Manus to clear the region from hunters, record threats around the region and protect the PLC from major threats.

Conclusion and status as of August 26th 2026

Balatonfalva remains active; Kassa and Kendevok are barely active, but still part of the PLC; the home of the council was placed at Saintsburg with a building dedicated to it. Don_Peanut is a fairly active member in the PLC itself, securing gold to expand further. Only four towns remain in the hands of Hungary in the region; Hungary, Ryu, Kaposvár, Kecskemét and Ordea. The council did not hold another meeting yet.
