Newfoundland (Aurora)
History
The nation of Newfoundland was founded on Aurora by Bajzyl, on June 6, 2022. Bajzyl, the first King, established the Bazicla Dynasty and invited a few towns to the nation. Bajzyl did not do much with Newfoundland during his rule, resulting in a small, isolated nation with little infrastructure. Bajzyl eventually grew tired of the nation and sold it on January 21, 2023 to Fizzbruv (former Emperor of the Solomon Islands), thus making Fizzbruv the new King. Fizz established the Fizz Dynasty and started work on the nation. He created the Parliament, which limited the Kings power and control over Newfoundland. He also established political districts, or Provinces, which were essentially towns and their political control over a certain area. During his first few weeks as King, 6 new Provinces joined the nation and 30 more players moved to the nation.
Newfoundland's Attempts at the Colonization of Greenland
Newfoundland's Parliament decided to attempt at a colonization plan to colonize Greenland and other parts of the world. 2 Provinces were made there including New Rochefort, lead (at the time) by BlazinDoctor, and Citadel, lead by coleslaw4dinner who decided to aid in Newfoundland's attempts to colonize the coast. However leader of the NSR (North Sea Republic) an Empire on EarthMC, told King Fizz II to remove the colonies off the coast or they would counter with an act of war, placing towns in Newfoundland's Mainland.
Parliament eventually decided to let go of Newfoundlandish Greenland's Colonies and focus more on claiming their own mainland. This eased the tensions between Newfoundland and the NSR.
The Departure of King Fizz II
On March 7th, 2023 the 2nd King of Newfoundland, Fizzbruv officially declared his stepping down from the Throne due to retirement from EMC. This in turn made the heir, Prince Drchemisalive the new King and Monarch of Newfoundland.
Fizzbruv later went on to apologize to Parliament for his rash actions after it was found out that he was controlling Parliament while away and attempted to regain his former throne from Drchemisalive, which was quickly turned down.
Former King Fizzbruv later went on to cause turmoil within Newfoundland's Parliament. Making plans un-retire from EMC and to leave for Italy and bring Parliament members, and the King, with him. This plan ultimately backfired with the new King (Drchemisalive) declaring that he would not be traveling to Italy with him. The other members of Fizz's party began to leave his plans. This, in turn, caused Fizz to create the Town of Luxem (Luxembourg) to rival the nation and create his own empire in Europe.
King Drchemisalive III went on to crown ViikinkiJaVelho the new Prince of Newfoundland on March 8, 2023.
Newfoundland and Canada’s Confederacy
Newfoundland was invited to join Canada’s Mega Nation (Confederacy) on March 22, 2023. After long debates and persuasion tactics by Canada’s Governor General, twomoo1119, Newfoundland ultimately decided to join Canada.
However, there were disputes and confusion between Newfoundlands Government and Canada’s Confederation Document. Newfoundland thought that they were unable to make independent decisions and therefore left the Mega Nation on March 30, 2023.
Newfoundland went back on its decision and rejoined Canada's Confederacy on April 4, 2023
Recognition of Christianity in Newfoundland Empire
Before and after the departure of King Fizz II, there were many attempts made by Father DirtMan8729 do instill an official religion in Newfoundland. There were Parliament meetings, votes and disputes about having a nation wide religion. After the retirement of King Fizz II, Father Dirt was able to diplomatically discuss with King Drchemisalive III and had successfully completed his mission of the evangelization of Newfoundland.
On March 18, 2023 the announcement was made of Newfoundland's new religion and on March 20, 2023 the first ever Mass was held at the capital, La_Manche in the local church.
On April 2, 2023 (Palm Sunday) Newfoundland was officially recognized as a Parish by EMC’s Holy Catholic Church and the Catholic Archdiocese of North America.
The Himyar Cold War
On March 30, 2023 Newfoundland declared war on Himyar due to its spike in other nations war declarations against itself. Newfoundland did nothing during this time to engage Himyar in war. This cold war ended just 1 day later due to Himyar’s distance from Newfoundland, and other disclosed information.
Crowning of King ViikinkiJaVelho IV
On April 23, 2023 Drchemisalive declared his retirement from the throne and crowned Prince ViikinkiJaVelho as the 4th King of Newfoundland, continuing its reign of monarchs. A ceremony took place the same day to congratulate Viikinki and his town, Rochefort was made the new capital. Reforms and a capital district was called upon by parliament to make its /n spawn more appealing and visitor friendly.
The Fall of Rochefort
In October of 2023, the town of Rochefort fell due to inactivity of King ViikinkiJaVelho IV. A player named Veyronity made a town outside of Rochefort before it fell, and when it did fall, Veyronity's town became the new capital of Newfoundland. Veyronity then sold the town to Fizz, who was planning to take over Newfoundland again. Fizz was now the King of Newfoundland once again, but not for long.
The Second Fizzian Era
With Fizz regaining the thrown of Newfoundland, he moved the capital back to the original Newfoundland island. He held a meeting on whether or not he should keep Newfoundland where it is or move it to another location. With the former residents of Newfoundland against Fizz's plans to move the nation, Fizz didn't know what to do. Many of the Newfoundland residents agreed that Foam, who was supposed to get the crown if Rochefort had not fallen, should be handed the crown. Fizz did not like this idea, however, which led to the general hatred towards Fizz. Eventually, Fizz sold the nation to Narman90 and proceeded to buy Indonesia. Narman90 handed the nation to Foam, who became the fifth King of Newfoundland. Foam moved the capital to Styrofoam in mainland Canada.
The End of Fizz
By this point, Fizz's actions became strange. After buying Indonesia, he moved it right into Indochinese territory and declared a war against anyone who was Indochinese. He proceeded to burn forests and Indochinese borders. Eventually, he was escorted out of Indochina by BonArc and his nation became waisted, in the middle of the Indian ocean. In his last days on EMC, he sold his nation for 1G and was later transported to a prison in Montgomery, where he sat in isolation until he was permanently banned for his actions. He was never heard of since.
Provinces (Feb 14, 2023) Prime of Newfoundland
La Manche
La Manche (Easternmost Province on the island) is the first Province of the Kingdom of Newfoundland. Founded on May 13, 2022, it is one of the oldest towns in Canada on the server. La Manche serves as the capital of the Kingdom and it is where the King lives, as well as where the Parliament building is located.
Saint Pierre
Saint Pierre is the third Province to join the Kingdom of Newfoundland, joining on January 19, 2023. It consists of two small islands and a peninsula, making it the smallest Province by land area. It is represented in Parliament by Dirtman8729, who created Saint Pierre and also serves as the Head Priest of Newfoundland.
Saint-Pierre is by far (March 2023) the only Province to recognize Catholicism as the official Religion of the Province. It is also the only Province to have French as one of its official languages, along with English.
Corner Brook
Corner Brook is the fourth Province to join the Kingdom of Newfoundland, joining on January 25, 2023. Even though it is the second oldest town in Newfoundland, it didn't join as a Province until recently, during the Fizz Dynasty. It is represented in Parliament by xassi
Former Parliament member, SweetTea, abandoned his position as mayor and gave up his title to Citizen xassi. His means for leaving were due to nation to nation teleporting and economic issues.
Grey River
Grey River is the fifth Province to join the Kingdom of Newfoundland, joining on February 2, 2023. It is the first town created in Newfoundland after the Fizz Dynasty began, and it is represented in Parliament by Pyrite_, the creator of the town. This town is encapsulated in its amazing architecture and grandeur design.
Goodburg
Goodburg is the sixth Province to join the Kingdom of Newfoundland, joining on February 8, 2023. It was created by Goodboy1111, who served as Fizz's chancellor during his rule of the Solomon Islands. Goodboy1111 also represents Goodburg in Parliament.
Rivendell
Rivendell is the seventh Province to join the Kingdom of Newfoundland, joining on February 9, 2023. It is the largest Province by area and was founded by Drchemisalive, a former resident of La Manche (Now King). Vadapatta represents Rivendell in Parliament.
Rochefort
Rochefort is the eighth Province to join the Kingdom of Newfoundland, joining on February 10, 2023. It was founded by ViikinkiJaVelho, who also represents Rochefort in Parliament. Rochefort, by date (April 3, 2023) hold around 1/3 of Newfoundlands total population.
Kahnawake
Kahnawake is the ninth Province to join the Kingdom of Newfoundland, joining on February 11, 2023. It was admitted into the Kingdom after King Fizz promised to help them fight off New Brunswick from claiming their island. It was created by Vandetti and is represented in Parliament by Hodin.
Englee
Englee is the tenth Province to join the Kingdom of Newfoundland, joining on February 18, 2023. It was bought by the Newfoundland government and then given to Drchemisalive, who left his town of Rivendell to claim Englee. Drchemisalive passed this town to Tuxspider343 who now represents in Parliament.
Saint-Lawrence
Saint-Lawrence is the eleventh Province to join Newfoundland, Joining February 22, 2023. It was founded by (at the time) Prince Drchemisalive. Its main purpose was to be in position to take the soon to be ruined Province of Englee which was destined to fall due to inactivity of its Mayor.
Throbington
Throbington is the eleventh Province to join Newfoundland, joining February 21, 2023. It was founded and still is governed by Casherzz, parliament member and mayor of Throbington.
Flags
The national flag of the Kingdom of Newfoundland is the flag of Newfoundland and Labrador Province in Canada in the real world. This flag was immediately used as the in-game national flag from day one. The white represents snow and ice, the blue represents the sea, the red represents human effort, and the gold represents confidence in the future. It was designed in 1980 by the artist Christopher Pratt.
