Olympia (Nova)
Overview
The town of Olympia is a city located between Astoria, Seattle and Port Angeles. It is part of the Republic of Cascadia and has historically been a part of the nation. Olympia's downtown features Jefferson Square, a blaze grinder, and a park. It is a border town with the Salish Federation and formerly the Pacific Republic.
History
Early History
The town of Olympia was founded during the early days of the server, in late 2018, by Banthos. Olympia was originally intended to be the capital of Cascadia but after Banthos was accidentally banned after being falsely accused of doxxing, the capital was moved to Astoria.
The town eventually fell because of inactivity.
Classical History
The town was refounded on the 17th of July, 2019, by Banthos. After a few months, it was handed to SpleenBeaned. Jefferson Square was built by LawofRence, thebigjeff2111, Estonian_Mapping, and SpleenBeaned.
Olympia continued to thrive until SpleenBeaned suddenly stopped responding to communications, and Olympia became inactive, nearly falling. After 2-3 months of this, he returned to discord and EarthMC and handed the town to Estonian_Mapping. Unfortunately, Estonian_Mapping became inactive as well.
Modern History
The town was handed to LawofRence early April, and under his mayorship the town ballooned in size, with citizens joining every day, helping Cascadia to regain its realm status. Councilors such as JiDouble and Zeast began to build new structures in the city and assisted the new players.
Unfortunately, the city was griefed on the 14th by Wesley152 and RRPride, who build obscene structures throughout the town. The grief was quickly fixed however.
After moving to Astoria to help KingBerman with operations, LawofRence again handed the mayorship to Estonian_Mapping. The town left under Estonian against the will of the citizens and joined Salish a few days later, but the mayorship was given to BigBroPro0425, who returned to Cascadia.
