The Pax Africanum

Purpose

To pacify and civilize central Africa; to open up central Africa to merchants; to bring prosperity to central Africa and to encourage immigration to and the settlement of central Africa.

Article 1: Regions affected by this treaty

All mainland African lands south of the town Doula approximately -850z as well as any land claimed by a signatory of this treaty.

Article 2: Exceptions to this Treaty

None of the terms of this treaty will not be enforced upon Niger or Madagascar unless they agree to sign this document.

Article 3: War Policy

  • If at any time, a town or nation shows aggression towards another town or nation, Nubia, and any other willing signatories, will intervene in the conflict against the aggressor, regardless of the afflicted party’s wishes.
  • Aggression may be defined as any of the following acts
    • Carrying out targeted or repeated attacks against members of a town or nation.
    • Carrying out targeted or repeated attacks within a region that one does not inhabit.
    • Carrying out targeted or repeated attacks against merchants.
    • Verbally or otherwise harassing members of a town or nation.
    • Making repeated threats towards a town or nation.
    • Targeted or repeated grief of infrastructure or land that is important to a town or nation.
  • Forming a town or nation with as a colony, or with the intention to become a colony of a non-African nation will be considered to be an aggression towards all signatories.
  • Agreeing to become a colony of a non-African nation will be considered to be an aggression towards all signatories.

Article 4: Territorial Disputes

  • Any territorial disputes between two parties, be it towns, nations, or a combination of the two shall be resolved between the two parties peacefully. 
  • If the two parties are unable to come to an agreement, they must appeal to a national signatory to assist them in reaching an agreement.
  • If at any time during this process, one party initiates a conflict, they will be considered the aggressor.
