Madrid is the capital and the largest city of Spain, located in the middle of the Iberian peninsula. It is the nineth largest city in EarthMC, surpassed by New York. Madrid was founded by 32Pengun under the name Castellon and later grew to its current state. Madrid is well known for its powerful XP grinder, which is used by all sorts of players on the server.

History

Castellon creation

Madrid used to be called Castellon and was located in Eastern Iberia until the city got renamed and moved its location to the place where it is today.

Castellon was made on the 6th of February 2019 after Pengun left Perpignan, wanting to start over to make a new city and capital for Aragon (now known as Spain). Castellon was made by the name of Oropesa. The first-ever citizen of the city was '1234567890098734'. He also got the first house built.

Structures

Pengun immediately started making tons of houses for people to live in, planning to have it an active city. Most houses were made out of sandstone with brick roofs, giving the city a true Spanish feeling. Castellon had around 24 houses at its peak.

Moving to Madrid

With Castellon serving as the capital city of Spain, many Madrid's have existed, which all have fallen, leaving the spot empty and the structures abandoned. Pengun got pretty bored in Castellon as there wasn't much to do, so it was decided that Castellon would be moved to Madrid by using a claim-arm. Today Madrid still owns the old district of Castellon.

Structures

Madrid is currently undergoing a huge renovation with everything being replaced. This renovation includes a new Plaza Mayor, new houses, and a new royal palace of Spain.
