The conflict began somewhere in mid-January, when mayor of Lugansk, Kyivstar, announced that island belongs to his town. He started set banners of Lugansk at the top of the island. Much blood has been shed for this island and there was a lot of talk about the name of the island, officially it was nameless, then it became the Lugansk island, then the Obdristan island.
