The Frontier (also known as the Montana Frontier, Frontier or Montana) is the eastern most electoral district within the nation of Aurora:Cascadia, acting for the most part as a cohesive territory under the authority of the Republic of Cascadia. Its local government is formed up in the form of the Frontier Leadership. An assembly of all associated and recognized towns within the frontier who come together to discuss issues regarding their towns and region. Chaeronea is considered the economic and political center of the Frontier, other associated towns include but are not limited to Jericho Ranch, Frog Rock, Buffalo Narrows, Talledega and multiple dozens more.

History

The history of the Frontier predates the founding of Chaeronea just over a year ago, however most of the original founding towns have been lost to time. But the earliest record of an organized cultural movement can be seen with the creation of Chaeronea in Montana, along with Jericho Ranch and the purchase of Crimea, now known as Kalispell.

It is with these towns and the work from another in the area known as Billings who made up the beginning of a new cultural identity within Cascadia known as the Frontiersmen. These Frontiersmen were eager to participate within the growing democracy, however many faced resistance from established players.

As the towns of Cascadia proper began to lose area to claim, more players began to move out east into the open wilderness, and with this the frontier received a population boom, making up around 30% of Cascadian citizens at its height. Allowing them to gain enough political influence to cement their position in Cascadian politics for a long time, eventually leading to the four electoral divisions that make up Cascadia today.
